A day at the airport for A.S.B.I. families
Today families of children affected by spina bifida and volunteers of A.S.B.I.-Sardegna have taken an exciting journey through the airport world and discovered some interesting aspects of the air travel industry.
Thanks to Cagliari Airport, Rotary Club Cagliari, 11th Nucleo Elicotteristi Carabinieri, Fire Brigades, Sogaer Security, Sogaerdyn and Hertz Car Rentals, the guests have enjoyed take-offs and landings from a very special viewpoint, discovered what it takes to ensure a safe environment for passengers and aircrafts and met airport operators who were willing to share their work experience.
The aim of the local branch of A.S.B.I., the Italian Spina Bifida Association, was to create an occasion for interaction and distraction for families and children and also to raise attention and support for “Pensaci prima”, a regional health education campaign on the benefits of prevention due to kick off on Dec. 16th.
