Cagliari Airport announces its summer network

The next IATA season beginning in just a few months will see more airlines and routes at Cagliari Airport. After hitting its new annual passengers’ record (4,149,585 with a +12.55% increase on last year’s figures), the airport launches a very rich summer plan including 72 destinations spread over 20 different countries. Thanks to a strong partnership with the Sardinian Authorities and a fruitful relationship with the main European carriers, South Sardinia will soon be ready to welcome more tourists than ever.

Air France to land in Cagliari

French flag carrier Air France announces its plan to service the Cagliari - Paris Charles De Gaulle route during IATA Summer Season ’18. Flights will be operated on a daily basis with an Embraer 190 (100 seats) owned by its subsidiary Hop!. Info and tickets on www.airfrance.com

Airport to help cruise industry in Cagliari

Cagliari Airport has joined forces with Cagliari Port Authority, the Municipality of Cagliari and Cagliari Cruise Port with a memorandum of understanding that will enable cruise passengers to better enjoy their travel experience in Sardinia’s biggest city. Improved logistics for passengers and their luggage - together with other measures - might help Cagliari to become a ‘home port’ for cruise ships from all over the world.

Berlin Tegel added to easyJet’s network

A brand new destination by easyJet: flights connecting Cagliari and Berlin Tegel - the main airport of Germany’s capital – are now on sale on the airline’s website and through easyJet’s official sales channels. The route will be operated 6 times a week starting from August 4th 2018. easyJet’s network at Cagliari Airport offers now non-stop flight connections to a total of 9 destinations.

Manchester, new route by Ryanair

Big news for S18: the Irish low cost airline Ryanair will operate two weekly flights from Cagliari to Manchester (Wed & Sun) starting next June. Tickets available on www.ryanair.com

Ryanair: cabin bags policy change

Starting from January 15th 2018 only passengers who have purchased Priority, Flexi Plus, Plus or Family Plus will be permitted to bring both of their cabin bags (1 bigger cabin bag and 1 small cabin bag) on board. All other customers are only allowed to bring 1 small bag on board; their second 10kg bag will be tagged at the gate and put into the hold free of charge.
