New parking area and improved road system

A brand new parking area has been inaugurated today, July 2nd 2014, at Cagliari Airport: located in front of the Arrivals, it adds 80 parking spaces to the overall capacity of the ‘Mario Mameli’ which now totals 1,250. The new Terminal Car Park will be free of charge for the first 15 minutes; for stays longer than 15 minutes a fare of 1 euro/hour will be applied.

New flights to Minsk by Belavia

Starting tomorrow Belavia will operate the route Cagliari-Minsk with its Boeing 737-800 aircrafts. The direct charter flights connecting South Sardinia with the Belarusian capital will be available from June 1st till September 13th 2014.

Volotea resumes flights to Venice and Ancona

Tomorrow 31st May the low cost carrier Volotea will resume its flight connections between Cagliari Airport and Venice and Ancona. The flights to Venice will be operated on a daily basis, while the Ancona route will be served twice a week. Good news for passengers flying with Volotea: purses, laptops and similar items will be allowed on board in addition to the cabin bag with no additional charges.


Airshow: airport temporarily closed

The Frecce Tricolori, the aerobatic demonstration team of the Italian Air Force, will be the stars of the air show held at Poetto beach on June 7th. For safety reasons, Cagliari Airport airspace will be temporarily closed during training sessions and display on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th from 5.30PM till 6.30PM local time. Volotea meets trade operators at Cagliari Airport

Today the low cost carrier Volotea together with Cagliari Airport have hosted a workshop dedicated to travel agents, DMCs and tour operators based in South Sardinia. Volotea is currently planning to increase its share market in Sardinia and looking carefully for successful opportunities to cooperate with new and motivated business partners from the Sardinian tourism industry.


Germanwings launches new Dusseldorf flights

Starting this week on May 3rd Germanwings will connect Cagliari and Dusseldorf with a direct flight. The new route will be operated on a weekly basis (Saturday) while the Stuttgart and Cologne/Bonn flights remain both twice a week (Thursday and Saturday).
