Volotea ready to start flights to Toulouse and Nantes

First Volotea international flights ever from Cagliari Airport: starting June 1st 2017 the Spanish low cost carrier will operate scheduled services to Toulouse and Nantes in France. During Summer ’17 the airline’s network will offer 9 destinations including the two French cities plus Torino, Venice, Verona, Genova, Ancona, Naples and Catania in Italy. Click for more info.

Mistral Air in Cagliari to present its Summer ’17 schedule

Press conference at Cagliari Airport for Mistral Air: the airline has presented today its Summer ’17 network to travel agencies,TOs and other operators. The schedule includes 5-7 flight connections a week between Cagliari and Florence, 2 connecting South Sardinia and Perugia, plus 2-3 flights to and from Pescara. Info available on

W17-18 Ryanair: more flights and 5 new destinations

Catania, Barcelona-Girona, Frankfurt Hahn, Madrid and London Stansted are the brand new destinations in Ryanair’s Winter 17-18 network from Cagliari Airport. The Irish low cost carrier confirms today that it will increase service on other routes for a total of 76 connections to 18 destinations every week. For the next IATA season, Ryanair announces better schedules and lower fares appealing to both leisure and business passengers.

New CRAI supermarket in the air terminal

Cagliari Airport has just added another facility to its wide range of services provided to passengers in order to improve their overall travel experience: a new supermarket is now open in the Arrivals area of the air terminal. CRAI offers a special selection of high quality goods as well as fresh fruits and vegetables, with very appealing prices and is ready to cater to travellers, visitors and operators all year round from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The Giro d’Italia to land at the airport on Sun. 7th May

Sardinia’s most important airport is ready to welcome athletes, bike lovers and friends for a special party on Sunday 7th May. Artists and entertainers are scheduled to perform on the big stage located in the main hall of the Departures area (before security checks) to celebrate the last Sardinian heat of the Giro d’Italia that will continue on the mainland. Romeo Scaccia and his piano, the Little Boys’ Choir of the Conservatorio ‘Pierluigi da Palestrina’ di Cagliari and Giorgia Palmas (godmother of Giro#100) have already confirmed their attendance.

OMPHALOS: an exhibition by Sergio Frau at the airport

Starting today, Cagliari Airport hosts OMPHALOS: Sardinia, the Island of Atlas. The First Centre of The World, a new exhibition by Sergio Frau on theories and proofs that suggest an alternative and very fascinating look at ancient history. It’s Frau’s  - an experienced journalist and writer with a special interest in archaeological matters related to the Mediterranean - second project to be displayed  in the air terminal of the main Sardinian hub.
