CONNECT ’19 to be hosted in Cagliari

Breaking news from Tbilisi, Georgia: Cagliari will host CONNECT in June 2019. 600 aviation professionals from airports, airlines and tourism authorities from all over Europe will gather in South Sardinia to build brand new partnerships and work to bring well established relations to a whole new level. Cagliari has been awarded the opportunity to host the CONNECT forum at the end of a long and hard selection process among many prestigious European cities. Thanks to the combined efforts of the Sardinian Authority of Tourism and Cagliari Airport, Sardinia will find in CONNECT ’19  a privileged international platform to showcase its undisputed touristic appeal.

Winter ’18-’19: new flights by Ryanair

Today the Irish low cost airline has announced more destinations and higher frequencies for its winter timetable at Cagliari Airport. Baden Baden, Porto, Seville and Valencia (two weekly flights each) will soon be connected to South Sardinia by Ryanair. Passengers flying from and to Cagliari will also find Düsseldorf (Weeze) and Warsaw (Modlin) among the brand new winter routes. The low cost carrier has also confirmed its scheduled non-stop services to Barcelona (Girona), Brussels (Charleroi), Krakow, Frankfurt (Hahn), London (Stansted), Madrid and Paris (Beauvais).

Porto, new Ryanair destination

Starting from October ’18 Ryanair will connect Cagliari Airport to Porto in Portugal. Tickets for the two weekly flights will be available on in March.

Air Malta: 2 new routes from Cagliari

Air Malta launches its Summer ’18 timetable and announces two new routes from Cagliari. Starting from May 4th the main Sardinian airport will be connected to London Southend and Malta twice a week. For the first time ever passengers will be able to fly directly to London Southend. Check for details. 

Ryanair’s plans for next winter

Six new Spanish destinations from Italy in winter 18/19, two of which from Cagliari Airport. Ryanair plans to expand its South Sardinian network adding Seville and Valencia to next IATA season’s routes. Flights from Cagliari will be operated two times a week to both destinations. Cagliari Airport announces its summer network

The next IATA season beginning in just a few months will see more airlines and routes at Cagliari Airport. After hitting its new annual passengers’ record (4,149,585 with a +12.55% increase on last year’s figures), the airport launches a very rich summer plan including 72 destinations spread over 20 different countries. Thanks to a strong partnership with the Sardinian Authorities and a fruitful relationship with the main European carriers, South Sardinia will soon be ready to welcome more tourists than ever.
