Brand new Social Wall at Cagliari Airport

Innovation and technology are the key to success in the aviation business. Confcommercio Sardegna, ENAC ,CRS4, SOGAER, Geasar, Sogeaal and Sara Giada Gerini worked together on “Airport4all”, a project meant to enable all passengers to easily access flight information. The brand new social wall in the departures area and the Airport4All app promise to make air travel smarter and more fun also for families with children, elderly and disabled passengers.

Gabor Pinna is Cagliari Airport’s new chairman

Cagliari Airport’s Board of Shareholders has appointed Mr. Gavino Pinna (aka Gabor Pinna) as the new chairman of the airport’s managing company. Mr Pinna previously served as vice president of Cagliari Airport. The decision was announced this morning by Mr. Maurizio De Pascale, president of Cagliari Chamber of Commerce which is the company’s majority shareholder. Other members of Cagliari Airport’s board are now Mr. Alberto Bertolotti, Ms. Monica Pilloni, Ms. Marina Rubini and Mr. Alberto Scanu. The members of the Supervisory Board are Mr.Giuseppe Farese (president), Mr. Andrea Dore, Ms. Rita Manca, Ms. Marinella Mascia and Mr.Mario Salaris.

Cagliari Airport and CRS4 team up for innovation

The managing company of Cagliari Airport and CRS4, the Sardinian technological research centre located in Pula, have signed an agreement on future collaboration regarding innovative technological solutions for airport operations, new means of communication to passengers and applications capable of making air travel easier and more enjoyable for all travellers. The new partnership aims to develop creative tools to improve information and communication on and about the airport.

First semester ’17: passenger figures up at Cagliari Airport

For the first 6 months of the year, a total of 1,751,536 passengers passed through Cagliari Airport, which represents an increase of 12% over the same period last year. Thanks to the network development and a few new carriers, the number of passengers on regular international flights has grown by 33%, while the number of domestic flight passengers has risen by 8%. During Summer 2017, Cagliari Airport is connected to 78 destinations.

Carbon neutral airport in max 2 years

Another important step towards carbon neutrality: Cagliari Airport has successfully renewed its ‘Level 1 – MAPPING’ Accreditation following the Airport Carbon Accreditation scheme endorsed by ACI Europe. The path set by ACA regulations will soon lead Cagliari Airport to achieve Level 2 – REDUCTION’ and become a better and greener company, that cares more about the environment.

Shareholders approve financial statements for 2016

Cagliari Airport’s board of shareholders has finalized the approval of last year’s financial statements. 2016 net profit amounts to 479.936 euro; financial, economic and investment indexes show an overall positive situation of the Company.
