Cagliari Airport successfully hosts Miss Italia event

Miss Italia beauty contest has just wrapped its Sardinian final at Cagliari Airport. The main hangar of the former military airport provided a unique backdrop for the stage where contestants walked and danced numerous times before the jury could announce the winner. Bianca Fusco, 20, from Cagliari, will represent Sardinia with other 7 beauty queens at the national finals in Jesolo and Milan scheduled for next month. The event and its perfect location inside Cagliari Aiport have been broadcasted live by Videolina, the main regional tv channel.

Nonnis’ artwork displayed @TAG

Cagliari Airport’s General Aviation Terminal (TAG) welcomes Franco Nonnis and his colourful mannequins layered with fabrics, paint, gold and resin. The Sardinian artist who is currently showing his work at museums and galleries also in London, has arrived at the airport’s most exclusive location to showcase a leg of his journey from chaos to harmony and beauty. VIPs, executives and international tourists flying to the TAG in South Sardinia for business or leisure this summer will enjoy the extraordinary richness of Nonnis’ artwork until September 18th 2018.

Chef Express: new F&B facilities at Cagliari Airport

Chef Express (Gruppo Cremonini) has inaugurated today brand new facilities such as a cafè, a German-style pub, a gourmet corner and a delicatessen market in the main boarding area of Cagliari Airport. Etigua by Lavazza, Gourmé and Market Viaggio Italia are a treat for passengers eager to buy, eat or drink Italian and Sardinian delicacies, while Löwengrube allows everybody to enjoy a taste of the true Bavarian cuisine and sip a cold signature beer in a cosy and relaxing environment just before departure.

Music Day ’18 today at the air terminal

The European Music Day will be celebrated today, June 21st, in many national and international venues including different Italian airports. This afternoon Cagliari Airport will host various performances by the Associazione Studium Canticum: artists and singers will entertain passengers and guests of the main Sardinian airport bringing music to the foreground in this very special day.

Air France meets the press at Cagliari Airport

This summer Air France will operate scheduled flights between Cagliari and Paris Charles De Gaulle on a daily basis. In order to successfully launch its brand new services in South Sardinia, the Air France-KLM top management has invited the press to a conference at Cagliari Airport General Aviation Terminal. Jerome Salemi (Air France-KLM General Manager for East Mediterranean) and Dimitry Huffnagel (Air France-KLM East Mediterranean Commercial Director) have answered all the journalists’ questions describing operational and commercial details to a very participating audience.

Cagliari Airport to participate in Music Day ’18 celebrations

This year’s European Music Day will see Cagliari Airport play an active role in the celebrations that take place all over the Continent. In Italy the event is strongly endorsed among others by the national Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Activities and Tourism and by Assaeroporti, the association which comprises most airports’ managing companies nationwide.
