Cagliari Airport bets on sustainability with 2nd E-Ambulift

With the acquisition of a second electrically powered ambulift Cagliari Airport has enhanced the sustainability of its operations and increased its use of battery-electric vehicles, cutting the production of Co2 emissions in accordance with the requirements of UNI ISO 14001 environmental systems certification.

It is one of Cagliari Airport many initiatives towards a fully sustainable development of its core activities and it goes along with the implementation of noise and air pollution control systems and energy and water saving procedures.

The new BEV (battery-electric vehicle) by AVIOGEI, the leading Italian provider of airport ground support equipment, will operate on the apron starting from today.
