The history of Time in Jazz at the Cagliari Airport Library
Paolo Fresu defines himself as “seasoned traveller”. No wonder he does, since the Sardinian is one of the best jazz trumpet players of the world, always on tour, always on his way to concerts and festivals both in Italy and abroad.
Feeling at home when in an airport or in an aircraft, he often seeks the comfort of a good book. This is one of reasons why Fresu jumped at the opportunity to welcome his guests inside the Cagliari Airport Library and tell them the history of his most beloved creature, the Time in Jazz Festival.
Cagliari Airport Library is the ideal venue to host, from Sep.27th till Oct 3rd 2021, a series of talks and events focusing on the roots, the development and the future of Time in Jazz, a cultural event able to attract over 40,000 music enthusiasts willing to reach Berchidda, Sardinia, every summer.
The public will enjoy a journey through images (the ones on Fresu’s insightful books and videos on display) and music, a remarkable experience and a very unusual way to spend some time at Cagliari Airport.
