Ukranian refugees welcomed with local farm-to-table produce

A very warm welcome indeed. Refugees arriving today in Cagliari from Ukraine have been greeted by Coldiretti, Campagna Amica and Cagliari Airport with a special gift: local farm-to-table fresh produce donated by the National Confederation of Farmers and its foundation Campagna Amica.

Sardinian ricotta cheese, bread, cherry tomatoes and tangerines have been donated to every kid and every women landed in Cagliari after escaping from a country at war and in desperate need of love and support.

For Battista Cualbu and Luca Saba - chairman and managing director of Coldiretti Sardegna - this is a small but significant gesture made with love by the Sardinian farmers, who are teaming with their customers in order to provide more food and support to Ukranian refugees facing extremely challenging circumstances.
