Direct flight to the Caribbean from Cagliari Airport

A special flight to Guadeloupe is due to take off from Cagliari Airport on Sunday 18th. The direct flight connection will be operated by Alitalia on behalf of Costa Cruises with an Airbus 330-200 (two classes for a total of 269 seats). For the first time, ca. 230 Sardinian passengers will be able to reach the Caribbean without connecting to other flights. With another 40 travellers in transit from Milan Malpensa, the flight will be fully booked. In 2013 ad-hoc charter services requested by Costa Cruises from Cagliari included routes such as Dubai, Heraklion and Sharm-el-Sheikh, in 2014 two flights to Dubai in the UAE are scheduled in February and March.
