Baggage
Bags and suitcases are entitled to be carried in the hold of the aircraft as 'checked baggage' according to the baggage allowance and the general rules of each passenger's airline ticket. Please note that baggage allowance vary depending on the class of travel and ticket type you book.
It is strictly forbidden to carry:
- briefcases with alarm devices
- radioactive substances
- infectious or poisonous substances
- magnetized substances
- oxidizing substances
- inflammable liquids
- inflammable solids (i.e. matches)
- explosive substances (i.e. ammunitions, flares, fire crackers, fireworks)
- inflammable gases, non-flammable and poisonous gases.
Please be advised that lithium batteries and equipment powered by them cannot be placed in checked baggage and must be carried in the aircraft cabin (see attachment).
Please note that liquids, gels and aerosols carried in the cabin on board the aircraft are subject to restrictions according to EU aviation security regulations. For further information you may click here.
It is better to carry fragile or valuable objects and important documents in the hand luggage that you are allowed to carry on board. The hand luggage should not exceed the dimensions and weight permitted by the airline. You are not allowed to carry objects that may be used as dangerous or improper weapons (i.e. scissors, knives, blades, screwdrivers and other similar items). In order to pass through security control faster, we recommend that you place metal objects (i.e. mobile phones, coins, keys, pens, watches and other similar items) inside your hand luggage.
Please ask your airline for further details on what you may or may not pack in your travel luggage.
