Ryanair to operate biggest Cagliari Summer schedule ever

Ryanair has just announced its new Cagliari Summer ’23 schedule: 2 new routes to exciting city break destinations Gothenburg and Genoa,as well as increased frequencies on over 10 popular routes like Bologna, Pisa, Milan and Rome. Ryanair will operate over 370 weekly flights, offering its Cagliari citizens/visitors low fares on 39 routes.

Speaking in Cagliari, Ryanair’s CEO Eddie Wilson, said: “As Italy and Cagliari’s no. 1 airline, Ryanair is pleased to announce our biggest ever Cagliari schedule for Summer ’23. With 3 aircraft based in Cagliari worth over $300m, supporting 90 high paid crew jobs, Ryanair continues to deliver more traffic, more jobs, and more low fares than any other airline in Sardinia and Italy. While this year Ryanair will carry over 2.4 million passengers to/from Cagliari (+47% vs pre Covid), we are urging the Italian Government and the local Regional Government to immediately scrap the excessive €6.50 tourist tax on each departing passenger and to redesign the obsolete PSO scheme. This will allow Ryanair to deliver up to an additional 1m inbound tourism pax p.a. (+50% growth) generating over €1bln extra tourism spend to Sardinia in the next 5 years with more connectivity, year-round domestic and international tourism from key inbound markets like Germany, France, UK, Nordics, whilst supporting 1,500 additional jobs in the Island. To celebrate the launch of Ryanair’s Summer ‘23 schedule for Cagliari, we are launching a limited time promo with seats available from just €29.99 for travel between Apr and Oct ’23, which must be booked by midnight 17 Feb on www.Ryanair.com”.
