Cagliari Airport shareholders approve 2022 financial statement and appoints new board
Today, May 8th 2023, Cagliari Airport shareholders have approved the 2022 Annual Report. The positive budget outturn recorded by Cagliari Airport in 2022 is € 15.3 million.
The Shareholders' Meeting has also elected the new Board of Directors: Dr. Monica Pilloni is confirmed in her role of President, while B.Eng. Marino Piga has been appointed as the new company's CEO. Further members of the Board are Dr. Giorgio Delpiano, B.Eng. Giorgio Efisio Demurtas and, for the first time, Dr. Gabriella Massida General Secretary of RAS (Sardinia Regional Authority).
With 4.4 million total passengers recorded in 2022 and an increase of 59.6% on 2021 figures, Cagliari Airport estimates 2023 passenger traffic to equal or improve last years' results thanks to a wide Summer network featuring 92 point-to-point direct routes (41 domestic and 51 international, including 1 long-haul to Dubai) operated by 23 airlines to 70 destinations. The flights connecting Cagliari to Dubai three times a week provided this Summer by flydubai are the first ever scheduled long-haul flights to be available in Sardinia.
Cagliari Airport investment plan will enable smoother operations and more accessible services in the near future and in the medium-term, allowing the airport to meet the expectations of an ever- growing number or travellers.
